Staying on in Malaysia after the fourth round of the Rotax Max Challenge Malaysia and Asia Max Challenge, Sean Hudspeth had a day of testing in a Kosmic kart (a first in a Kosmic for him) with Simon Racing at the Sepang kart track before joining Meritus Racing for two days of formula car testing at the main Sepang International Circuit.
The natural driver progression path starts from karting before moving on to the various levels of single-seaters.
Testing with the junior formula cars similar to those used in the JK Racing Asia series, Sean made significant improvements to his timings. Really pleased with his performance, Sean improved his personal best lap time by two seconds.
It was a good week of testing for Sean, with a positive result in the Kosmic kart that he is new to (Sean clocked 3 tenths of a second off the pole position time during the All Stars Karting race at Sepang) and also pushed a more competitive time in the formula car.
His next race will be at the second round of the Asian Karting Open Championship in Carmona, The Philippines next weekend.
